How do I start my custom jewelry order and how can I make payment to get the order started?: Please see Custom Jewelry Ordering Instructions located here for complete ordering and payment information.
I want to place a custom jewelry order with GangstaGold but I don't agree with having to sign the FINAL COPY and the ORDER AGREEMENT. Why is all this required?: We are sorry if a website visitor feels it is too much trouble or incovenience to read, sign and send us the CUSTOM JEWELRY ORDER AGREEMENT AND FINAL FINSIHED COPY OF DESIGN. Custom jewelry is an extremely complicated part of the jewelry business to operate in and we must have an agreement with the customer in regards to our custom jewelry sale policies, order agreement and also mutual approval on the final finshed copy of the design. If having to do this does not "work" for the customer, we ask them respectfully to please refrain from sending a request for a price and to not waste our time if there is no real intention to follow all the way through with complete the ordering process and make a custom jewelry purchase .
Can a credit or debit card phone payment be made for a custom jewelry order?: NO & YES. We do not allow DIRECT to GangstaGold online credit or debit card payments for custom jewelry orders. However, we do offer 3 easy payment options. See Custom Jewelry Ordering Instructions located here for types of payments accepted.
Can a custom design be paid for in payments or put on layaway?: NO & YES. Full payment up front is required before we will start the processing and creation of the piece. We are very sorry but due to the rising price of gold and our low prices, we do not allow partial payments or layaways. However we will allow a 75% down payment on an order and the remaining balance due upon completion of order. If the remaining balance is not paid within 24 hours of order completion, we will allow a 2 day grace period, however the the customer will be charged an additional 15% of the total remaining balance if the balance owed is not paid in full within 48 hours.
How long will it take for a custom design to be made?: Custom jewelry orders will take approx 7-15 business days to be made once the order has been processed to the jeweler. Business days are Monday through Friday ONLY and do NOT include weekends or national holidays. When an order is ready to ship out to a customer, we will send notice of shipment by email to the customer along with complete tracking information. In times before, during and after National Holidays, industry events, religious holidays, etc- the order processing time may be delayed an approx 2-3 business days or more.
How large can a custom design be made?: A design should not be any larger than 4" by 4". Customers should not send requests for dimensions larger than 4" by 4". The price would be very expensive to custom create and 9 times out of 10 the customer would not be able to afford the price.
What exactly is "white gold pave beadwotk rhodium design"?: Beadwork design is a special process used where the gold or sterling silver is pushed up from the back into little round, individual dots which give the simulated apprearance of diamond stones. It will add estra shine to a desgin and can be used in particular spors suich as: outer or inner trim, letters, backgrounds etc. We reccomend it mixed in with actual stones for the budget conscious buyer. It is definetly a more flashy look than a high polished style. How are the dimensions measured on custom medallion shown at this website?: Dimensions shown are measured and reflect the total size from side to side and up and down, including the length of the bale.
How much time in advance does a custom jewelry order need to be placed for a birthday, special occasion, event, holiday, etc?: Custom jewelry designs which are needed for any type of special date or occassion should be ordered at least 25 business days in advance. This comes out to approx 5 weeks before-hand as business days are Monday- Friday and DO NOT include weekends or national holidays.
Do you make custom medallions like Cash Money Records, Mickey Mouse, Simpsons, etc?: NO & YES. It is illegal to make any type of custom medallion which is associated with a record label or other company that is ltrademarked, copyrighted or liscened, unless the customer is representing that label or company and has authorized consent to use the company logo name and design. The designs shown at our website that feature record label and company names and designs are only a sample of what we can make a design look like. They are not for sale as is and are not re-produced exactly for customers.
I want to order multiple pieces, bulk orders or get a "group discount",, won't that make it cheaper per piece?: NO. There is a misconception with consumers that if they order more than one custom jewelry piece, the overall price will come out substantially less expensive than if they were to order only one. This is not true. In order to duplicate a piece more than one time, the custom jeweler will be required to make a mold, wax and model cast of the original. We can not duplcate pieces exactly or accurately any other way. This process is slightly expensive and has to be added into the overall cost we charge the customer. Normal price for making a model, wax and cast is approx $500 and up on any design. This does not include any other costs associated with the custom piece such as; labor, materials, amount of pieces.
There is a medallion at your site that is NOT in the custom jewelry area but I want it to be made to my specific details: Visitors who see a jewelry item at our website that is allready manufactured and NOT in the CUSTOM JEWELRY SECTION and want to take that piece and customize it- Please note that this is a very expensive process. In order to duplicate an item at the website that is allready manufactured and customize it to a customers specifications, we would need to buy the actual piece in order to make a mold, wax, and model cast of it.
When a price is received back from GangstaGold on a custom jewelry design, is this a firm price?: NO & YES. Exact price given on a custom jewelry request is valid up to a specific, stated gold spot market price only. This amount will be stated in email price request replies and is also available online, CLICK HERE. GangstaGold reserves the right to not be held liable or responsible of any price increases should the price of gold and precious metals goes over the stated amount in our ONLINE PRICING DISCLAIMER. Our company has absolutely no control if the price of gold, sterling silver or other precious metals go up and down in the metal market. If a customer has received a price and the gold spot market price rises over the stated amount, the customer should contact GangstaGold by email when they are ready to order and request a new price.
Is it possible to receive a quote, approximate price or estimated price on a custom design?: NO. We do not give quotes, approximate prices or estimates on custom jewelry price requests. Prices calculated and offered by GangstaGold will be exact prices only. Visitors, please refrain from calling or emailing and asking us for quotes as they will not be given.
Is it possible to call GangstaGold and request a custom price on the phone?: NO. We are very sorry but we do not answer custom jewelry requests by phone. Price requests for custom designs are allowed BY EMAIL ONLY. When we receive a custom price request from a visitor, we will review the request and forward it to our custom jeweler who will take all the specifics of the design into consideration and then calculate the final price based on these variables.
Is it possible to trade services i.e.; website design, marketing, advertising, promotion, etc for a custom designed item?: NO. We are not interested to to exchange any type of jewelry with visitors for unsolicited services.
Is it possible to see a proof, example, sketch or draft of a design before or after a price is received?: NO & YES. We do not prepare proofs or drafts for customers unless the value is more than $1,500 and the item/order has been paid for. GangstaGold and the custom jewelry company simply do not have the time to afford to create proofs and drafts for customers price requests or paid orders that are valued at less than $1500 and have not been paid for. Please do not ask for proofs, drafts, samples or examples as these requests will be declined. If a visitor feels like a proof or draft is necesary but is not willing to make payment first we ask to please not waste our time and to not send the price request at all. We are confident in our capability and craftmanship of custom jewelry and this can be seen in the Custom Jewelry Section.
How can I verify the quality of the custom jewelry design products shown and level of customer service I will receive if I place my order at this store?: GangstaGold is a pioneer of custom jewelry stores online. What kind of warranty/ guarantee does the custom jewelry with?: We guarantee our products to be made of genuine gold, sterling silver, palladium cubic zirconia stone and genuine diamond and may be tested as such. Custom jewelry pieces will be designed to last a lifetime, however can only assume responsibility for custom jewelry tjhat is in our possession. Once a custom jewelry piece is received by a customer, we can not assume to know how they are caring for, using or treating their jewels. GangstaGold reserves the right to not assume responsibilty for merchandise no longer in our possession. Meaning: we do not guarantee breakage, missing stones, or any other damage caused to the jewelry by the person wearing it.
What happens if there is a problem with my custom jewelry design once I receive it back?: In 99.9% of custom jewelry orders, we come through with an absolute perfect design. However if for any reason a custom jewelry item is recieved by the customer and there is ANY PROBLEM with the design, we are here to assist the customer and communicate with the custom jeweler in regards to any unexpected issues or discrepancies by email. The customer should send email to GangstaGold and state the issue and we will then communicate with the custom jeweler in regards to this. Can I send in my own jewelry and have it melted down to make a custom jewelry piece?: NO. Our custom jeweler will only use their own companies precious metals. THEY WILL NOT MELT DOWN jewelry to make a custom design.
Can I send in my own stones and have the custom jeweler use them in a design?: NO & YES. Our custom jeweler will mostly only use their own companies diamond and cubic zirconia stones. THEY WILL NOT REMOVE stones from jewelry to add to a set. However, our custom jeweler might be willing to accept bulk stones sent in from customers for setting into a custom piece. This is based on the sole discretion of the custom jeweler and per individual request..
I can't afford real gold, sterling silver or platinum, will GangstaGold make a fake or plated design?: NO. We only price, offer, design and create genuine products made of sterling silver, 10kt- 18kt gold and platinum.
Can you tell me where I can find a company who will make a fake or plated design?: NO. We only work with our own personal custom jeweler and we are not connected with companies offering fake products of any kind.
I saw a custom jewelry design at a different store online and I want GangstaGold to make it: YES. Our custom jeweler will make any type of custom medallion, whether it is shown at the GangstaGold store online or at another store. However, visitors hould be aware: the price may not be as competitive and the answer might not always be yes.
What is the best way to clean and care for my custom jewelry piece?: Custom jewelry should be cleaned only when needed and the correct liquid jewelry cleaners or jewelers cloth should be used everytime: However it is extremely important that the instructions on the cleaners are read, understood and followed. There are very strong chemicals in liquid jewelry cleaners and jewelers cloths. If they are not used properly and exactly as instructed, it could cause possible damage to the design. DO NOT EVER clean custom jewelry piece with any cleaner that is not made specifically to clean jewelry: No matter what anyone has been told, said or heard, gold, sterling silver and platinum should never ever be cleaned with anything besides products made exclusively for cleaning jewelry. Meaning: Do not ever use toothpaste, bleach, window cleaner, lemon juice, etc. If any cleaning product is used that is not made to specifically clean jewelry, there is great risk and chance that the incorrect cleaner will possibly dull or damage the custom jewelry piece. DO NOT; swim in pools (chlorine will dull gold overtime and the orginal shine and luster will never come back) sleep, shower, or participate in activities that couold cause damage or breakage to a custom jewelry piece.
